A Christmas of Reflection

Hail the Heav'nly Prince of Peace!
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and Life to All he brings,
Ris'n with Healing in his Wings.

Mild he lays his Glory by,
Born—that Man no more may die,
Born—to raise the Sons of Earth,
Born—to give them Second Birth.

What a wonderful time of year. A special period for mortal men and women to reflect on the amazing glory and grace of our Lord. Our Creator who chose to veil himself in flesh as our new Adam. To live a perfect life so that we may be reconciled and lead to an immortality with Him forever and ever.

Our God, so powerful, so good and wonderous that He came in utter weakness to show us His Glory. He came displaying no power and no physical indication of His identity. Yet his restraint showed us the greatest power the world has ever seen. To take on our sin and offer us a means to re-establish our relationship with our God through His pain, and His suffering. All done for you and for me. So that justice can be fulfilled, yet mercy and grace displayed for all to see.

May this season call your heart to reflect on who our God is, and does, and has been from the beginning to the end. A God of unending love, of infinite forgiveness and perpetual generosity. And let each one of us reflect that back to all around us every day, and especially now. So that His glory may be displayed to all because of the mercy He has willingly and lovingly extended to you and me.

May God bless you in this season, and forever. We pray your holidays are beautiful, good, filled with love, and abounding in generosity.  Just like the heart of a perfectly weak and vulnerable little baby born to a virgin, and humbly laid in a manger so many thousands of years ago.
