Ontario Christian Assembly Overnight Summer Camps 2016 Update!
The construction for our new building is coming along well - windows have been recently installed, with more upcoming! Camp Oasis Summer Day Camp has also been in operation with plenty of work being accomplished for the further growth and development of both camps! Many thanks to all the volunteers and workers who have put in many hard hours to complete much of the cleanup and preparation of the camp grounds.
Nonetheless, the construction for the new building is behind by a few weeks, and decisions concerning the operation of the overnight camp had to be made. The LIT, Primary, and Junior Camps are going to be cancelled for Summer 2016. The Dorcas Camp has been cancelled as well. We are still planning to hold the Senior High Camp, and we may be able to hold the Junior High Camp alongside it. The Deans have been informed and are discussing the combination of the Senior and Junior High Camps. That decision will be made by Monday, July 25. If it is such that these camps will need to be cancelled as well, we will do our best to inform you all as soon as possible to let you get in the time for alternative plans for the summer.
Parents will be contacted by our Camp Administrator concerning the same news as written here, in addition to resolving any payments and refunds.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue to develop and build up our camp for a greater future. Our new building will help us in accomplishing our mission to help others grow in Christ as we become more able to serve for many more years to come!

Ontario Christian Assembly – Update for Jr. High and Sr. High Overnight Camps for Summer 2016!
The new dining hall is looking great, with almost all the external structure being completed. The new fireplace will be placed in the dining area soon, and rough-ins for the plumbing and electrical are coming up! Camp Oasis Summer Day Camp has also been able to work with children from local communities while reaching out to local churches. We also still have many volunteers who have taken time out on Saturdays to support the camp – another big thank you to those who took the time in the heat to make Ontario Christian Assembly even better!
The decision for Monday, July 25 is that both Jr. High and Sr. High Overnight Camps as well as Family Camp will be cancelled for this year as well. This decision was not an easy one, but our top priority are the campers and their safety and growth at the camp. We simply cannot maintain our top priority without proper clean and safe facilities for campers. Registered campers and families will be notified of the cancellation to give families time to make other plans for the summer. Refunds for payments for registrations will be made. We apologize for this inconvenience. Our new building will equip us with what we need to ensure that Ontario Christian Assembly reaches its mission of helping everybody grow in Christ for the future.
